At the second hand store, a few years ago, I saw this statue and fell in love. At the time I did not know who was represented in porcelain. All I saw was the beauty.
Last year when a friend came over in January she told me she is a statue of
Kuan Yin.
She is the goddess of compassion. I have been reading about this remarkable Goddess. She is a friend to humanity.
I do not know if this hand painted wood plate is also Kuan Yin.
As I study the Asian culture I am also studying the deities. This Buddha sits behind my desk. I have been reading the teachings of the Buddha. Also a friend of Humanity.
