Wonderful photos!! They put a big smile on my face :-))
I can't get over your peonies already!! Ours have just barely touched the top of the soil.

Dear Deb,
I was out cleaning flower beds all day with the camera close at hand. The birds forgot all about me. They are so busy.
The peonies are way too far ahead! It warmed up early this year. I like to have peonies for the graves on Memeorial Day, end of May. At the rate they are going they will be in bloom for May Day!
We have a dozen peony bushes. Years ago my husband brought home some that were going to the dumpster when he redid the front entrance to a high school. I found a place to grow them.
I do like them.

Hello. Your peonies have overtaken ours! Wow. They are tall. Does your spring usually come in such a rush?

Hi Chris,
Spring often comes in so quickly and zip-zap-zips right into summer! March can be very unpredictable. It is suppose to cool down soon so that will save some of the cooler blooming flowers. I have early spring, mid-spring and late spring flowers so I usually have something in bloom.
A hard feeze is also still possible. Our weather patterns have been changing these past ten years.
The peonies are also early, mid and late. The ones on the south side of the house come on earlier than the north. Keeping continous color in all the beds is my goal.
I plant seeds and bedding plants I have winter sowed over all the bulbs.
I do keep a journal so I can remember what is in bloom when!
