Another poignant post I think. The magnolia looks beautiful. They are always so fragile, we often get a north wind just as it is reaching perfection. Thank you for sharing your beautiful photos.
Isn't it great to see the first signs of spring! It's such a joy to find every little new flower that's peeking through the dirt.

How lucky you are to have a lovely pond on your property. A pond has been on my "garden wish list" for a while now. In the meantime I will enjoy looking at pictures of yours and Chris's.

You, my Dear, inspired me! As you are watching your magnolia I thought of my neighbor's tree. I could watch her tree bloom forth.
I stepped out of my own spot and began looking about in my neighborhood. I can include all the trees that surround me in my daily meditiation.

The parade of flowers has begun! It is exciting. Everday a new sprout and new leaves. The bugs return and the birds are building their nests. Spring is a joyful time.

Dear Deb,
We have two small garden ponds. My husband put them in years ago. One is in the front and the other in back. We have a few pond plants and fish.
They both are large bird baths! The front pond has a bubbler that we keep on all winter.
I hope one day have a water feature in all the flower beds. I am working on it! My garden wish list keeps growing too!
I do not have any fences. I would like at least one to help keep the deer out!
Dreams and plans and another year of seeds. I will enjoy your gardens too.

Thank you for enjoying the photos.
I use a Nikon D50. I have three lens so I spend lots of time changing from one to another! The telephoto 200-500 zoom brings the birds up close. I am learning how to use filters. My favorite new shop is the photo supply. Lots to learn as I teach my camera to see what I see.
It is a beautiful world we live in.

Just think of how pleasant your temperatures are in July! We will be "coward" inside as the temperatures rise to 100 degrees.

I've not yet had the time or money to really get comfortable with photography, but now--2 chicks out of the nest and only one remaining--I have a little more room for play : )

I bought my camera last May. Before that I had made a list of everything I wanted my camera to do. I kept waiting, 6 years, until the camera I wanted came onto the market and was at a price I thought reasonable. I made a commitment to myself, to do a photo essay everyday. That way I learned how to use my camera. For Christmas my husband and I gave each other the 500x telephoto lens. I have a new budget line item, "photography".
My next adventure is sound recording! I have wish list made.
Being able to photograph the birds, bugs and gardens is a dream come true for me.
