What an amazing picture! You are clever to have your camera handy - yesterday we spotted a hawk on our fence but sadly by the time we went upstairs to get the camera he spotted us and flew away! Thank you also for your kind Birthday wishes.
Hi Deb, You should see me! I have the camera around my neck and the binoculars. I go around to all the windows, peeking out just wondering what bird is out there now??!! I am using the inside of the house as my bird blind! Once darkness desends I put the camera on the dining room table. Ready for the next day. I moved a chair in the living and set up the tripod. The crescent moon shots were taken with a 500x zoom lens. I am rather quick with changing lens! I see why photograhers have many cameras. Once the weather is warm and I am outside I will need a vest for the different lens. I do understand the "Where's the camera?" I have done that many times. How wonderful to see a Hawk! I really like them. I see the Cooper's Hawk and the Red Tailed Hawks rather often, a couple of times a week. Sometimes it is enough to have just watched them. I have missed photos of many birds. I always think they will be back. Still waiting on the Brown Creeper. Hope your birthday was fun! Stay warm. ~Q~
