As the sun rose this morning it was 4 degrees Fahrenheit. Ice was on the inside of the back storm door.
The back pond was frozen over.
Snow Penguin did not mind.
Bitter cold for the rest of the week. The lilies are opening filling the house with the smell of spring.

OOoohh Jack Frost has been to your windows. He has not been to us yet this year. Our pond has frog spawn but has not frozen over once. Maybe he will still come to us in February. Snow penguin stands on guard for a little bit longer. Best wishes, stay warm!
Hi Chris,
Brrrr.. it is cold here.
Jack Frost did visit!
How cool to have tadpoles! Will all the frogs stay around your pond? I love frogs. We have a toad that lives in our front pond area. Last summer we were able to take photos. The sounds of the frogs and toads is so summertime to me.
Warm summer nights and the sounds of the bugs and the frogs..... dreaming on this cold January night.

Dear Sprite,
I am very fond of the Penguin.
My husband was ever so kind to find him in the pile of snow.
I have taken many photos and every so often I peek out at him.
I am very fond of Snow Penguin.
Another winter joy!
Love,
