My Friends

I went out to take more Yellow Bellied Sapsucker photos. I could see clouds building in the North. The Sapsucker was gone. The clouds rolled in quickly. I was disappointed. When I walked up to the deck Tea-kettle flew in to the Dogwood.
He sang a little song and started being his darling self.
Chick-a-dee joined Carolina Wren. He is beautiful.
I came to the door and turned to say my, "thank you" and two Doves flew in.
Soon the deck was filled with Cardinals and little Woodpeckers. No need to be disappointed.

Hi Deb,
I enjoy the Chick-a-dees too! They are lovely, little, happy birds.
They are the first to find a feeder and they come and go all day long! Did you hang up the window feeder Chris sent to you for your birthday? I bet the Chick-a-dees would come to it. Ours come to the window feeders during wet weather. I have safflower seeds in them. We have two types, Black- capped and Carolina. Carolina only has white on the edges of it's wing. I read my bird field guides like favorite novels, over and over and over again!
Lots of Doves are about. They perch on the utility wire in back and in the trees. I love the cooing. In the mornings I see them sitting on the deck facing the east as if waiting for the sunrise, like me.
Birds! I just love them so.

Hi Sheila,
I enjoyed your blog. Your house tour was very fun.
As you can tell I love the birds! Come spring I will show my gardens and hopefully the butterflies!
I do decorating too. Each month I showcase a different culture. We celebrate everyday and all the holidays.
I make lots of what we need. All sorts of crafting!
Lately my creative aspect has been involed with photography. I am just learning about the camera and the lens. Today I realized I need to get some filters for bright light days.
Thanks for coming by.
