I am very sad never to have seen a Green Jay. They are a bit to the west of me. Such colourful birds.

You have found lots of Goodies to show us for the letter G, but that last one was plain Gorgeous!

PS Thank you for the comment - I'm not sure, but I think it is kittiwake.

Beautiful photos as always. The Green Jay is so beautiful! We always hope for a glimpse of a Rose-Breasted Grosbeak during migration times.

Just beautiful G's! Love them all, especially the Green Jay. Would love to see one of those in person. I wish the Grosbeaks would stay around here all year. They're one of my favorites! Happy Wednesday! -Tammy

Great G's Sherry. I haven't seen any RB Grosbeaks lately. We have had a few warblers come through.

Such a great group of Gs! I particularly like the Grey Hairstreak, and (my favourite) the grasshopper! I love the way the knot in the wood near him looks like a star in his 'hand'!

Lovely, as ever!! I have not heard of a green jay before. Yours is much prettier than the one in my bird book! And I am so impressed with the detail you caught in the goldenrod!!!

Your little butterfly does look rather tattered. But the colour is gorgeous. I like your green jay. Not a bird I've ever seen, although I think you posted a pic of one a while ago.

That little grasshopper looks quite elegant! Don't know how you captured it so well. He looks positively gallant!
