"It's a miracle"

"It's a miracle," my doctor said.
"Your health has been restored!
What have you been doing?"

"Just the supplements and enzymes you recommended,"
I was as pleased as my doctor.
" I also have been drinking the herb teas you suggested and growing
my own medicine. Your encouragement made a difference for me."

I am out in the gardens. I am weeding and deadheading. I am saving seed.

I am connecting with my plants.

I am saving containers to winter sow this coming year. I am dreaming of gardens.

I once again am a plant person.

I feel good. I feel well. I feel whole again.

My knees were fine today, no pain when I unfolded.

My back and shoulders are just fine.

It was hot and humid but I could be outside.

My Doctor ask me if I was allowing my plants to heal me.
I do not know, maybe so.
I do know I sat with the Rosemary today.
I began weeding her bed. I did some layering. I want to propagate her again.
I want to rebuild my Rosemary hedge.
This Rosemary is winter hardy in my zone 5b.
An usual plant. An unheard of "Hardy Rosemary".
She has survived flood waters and late frosts.
She has survived below zero temperatures.
A gift from Mother Nature.
This Rosemary is the miracle.
The Rosemary healed me.

I am so glad to hear that your health has been restored Sherry. Rosemary is one of my favorite plants but I get so discouraged that it doesn't grow as a perennial in my garden. I see that Rosemary has given you heart too. Happy Day...

Very good news. The body does amazing things with a little encouragement, and we all know how encouraging nature can be.

Dear Sherry, I am so happy that you are restored! One as good as you is so precious and the world needs more good souls like you. This is a joyous day indeed! I too love rosemary and herbs in general. The weather here has been gloomy and moist most of the summer so my new herbs haven't bee able to get a good foothold. I'll keep trying though. Stay strong. Love, Vikki :)

That is wonderful, to think you have healed, with help from your herbs. I love herbs, & have absolute trust in the fact that they are beneficial to our health. My particular favourite is parsely, but I like them all.

That's great!...Love the first picture...it's a nice image of what connecting on some level with nature (through our gardens) can do. May you and your rosemary last many more seasons.

How wonderful that you are feeling better, Sherry! It's good that you gave the rosemary a little TLC for all that she has done for you. Researchers keep saying that there is a mind-body connection, although that's hard to agree with when you are in pain. But I'm sure the time you've spent with nature and communing with the butterflies, bees, and dragonflies have helped in some way.

Loved those chipmunk photos; he's a cutie:)

Dear Cheryl,
I am very pleased. Going the natural path was different! Some of my siblings poo-hooed me. As it turned out this approach was the right appraoch for me. I feel excellent now.
Rosemary is not winter hardy in my area. Mother Nature gave me one plant that learned to be!
She is amazing!
Thank you for your kindness.

Sherry

Dear Lisa,
My rosemary is a perennial, here in zone 5b, it is 8 years old! Amazing plant. I am layering again and hopfully I will be able to restore my hedge.
It is a miracle Rosemary.
I appriciate my health so very much. I was very sick. To be well in two months is a gift from the herbs.
Right now I am taking blue green algae.
I do use my rosemary for cooking and for cosmetics. It is a wonder herb.
Thank you for your friendship. Your support has meant so very much!

Dear Wren,
When I became aware of just how sick I really was I went to the Raji, an Ayurveda Health Spa in Iowa. Back home I realized I needed a Naturalpath Doctor. My daughter, (who lives in Portland, Oregan, not Kansas City, Missouri like me) found me Dr. Deihn, my doctor. She is excellent. With the help of lab work we were able to found all sorts of body troubles.
She put me on supplements and enzymes and herb teas. It was her that asked me to allow the plants to heal me.
I am very grateful "healers" came into my life and I am well.
Now I want to maintain my good health!
I am learning more about the healing properties of plants and how important loving support is!
Thank you for your support.

Dear Vikki,
Thank You! I have been celebrating my restored health! It seem only right to celebrate with all of my online friends too.
I am walking still. Only since it is so hot I am walking at twilight, after the heat of the day passes.
I am still doing my Ayurvedic way. I have not added anything in for awhile.
It feels so good to have the energy to do the things I want to do.
Thank you for your friendship!

It's amazing how well one recovers when nature is involved. I'm pleased. Your rosemary sounds hardy! I am fortunate to not have to worry about seasons: mine grows year round, but even still, it needs some coaxing!

Dear ICQB,
The idea of letting the plants heal me is different. I always have thought I was suppose to take care of the plants.I see it is a mutal relationship. I am relaxing a bit. It is too hot and humid right now for me to do much outside anyway. I see the weeds are growing. They are pretty too.
Thank you for your kindness,

Dear Jayne,
There is a power much greater than I! Feeling good again is wonderful. It might take me a couple of years to catch up on all my "work". I am very, very far behind!

Dear Meggie,
I too love the herbs. I think everyone has a special herb that is "their herb". I bet parsely is yours. I have always thought lavender was mine. While working with the Rosemary I realized Rosemary may have become my "new special herb". I almost lost the Rosemary last year. Two tiny sprigs remained after the early spring and heavy frosts of 2007. I became very depressed. I barely could speak of the Rosemary, if I did I would cry. Seeing the Rosemary rebound and thrive this year has restored my faith in nature. Taking the suppliments and followering my Doctor's advice has helped too. LOL
I have lots of garden restoration to work on. I want to restore my beautiful Rosemary hedge. I began again layering. I think I will look for a beautiful garden ornament to place in the Rosemary bed.
I am devoting 2009 to Rosemary.
Thank you for your support and kind words.
Namaste,
Sherry

Dear Anna,
I was wrtiing to Meggie about how I think each of us has a healing herb. I bet yours is lavender!
I too love the lavenders. I have a pretty hedge of it. I started another lavender bed this spring thinking I would re-do the old hedge this fall.
I am thinking of growing lots and lots of lavender. It grows well in my backyard and the bees love it!
The Rosemary is a miracle plant. It has been hardy for me now for many years.
Body can heal itself as long as the mind is healthy and the Rosemary and lavender grow!
Namaste my dear friend,
Sherry

Dear Chris,
Thank you!
The gardens grow as they do. I looked up while weeding and saw one of the plants in the butterfly garden had formed a heart! It has morphed again and now is in a different shape as it reaches towards the sun.
Getting back into the soils is important for me. It is who I am, a plant person.
Thank you for your Rosemary blessings.
I am going out for a few minutes this morning before it gets too hot and humid to sit with the Rosemary.
Namaste,
Sherry

Dear Rose,
I do beleive in the mind-body- spirit connection. I do think one of the reasons I am well is the beauty that surrounds me. The birds and the butterflies and the dragonflies fill me with peace and joy.
The Rosemary was a special gift from Mother Nature. I am so pleased she has survived. I worked a little bit this morning in her bed. It will take me awhile to get things straightened up again. Every place I look I see work; inside and out! My energy has returned so I am slowly getting things in order. I am making sure I get proper rest and food too. I want to stay healthy. It took a couple of years for things to spin out of order.
Chippy is cute! I see him every day now. He comes for his morning seeds.
Thank you for your support.
Namaste,
Sherry

Dear Mimi,
Rosemary must be hardy for you. This one plant is for me...at least she has been for the last 8 years.
I am very smitten with rosemary too. I know nature has healed me.
So nice to meet you. I hope to pop over to your journal and get to know you.
Namaste,
Sherry

Dear Wendy,
"Allowing" nature to heal me was one of my stumbling blocks.
I have a tendancy to want to take care of. I needed the care!
The bees do bring blessings!
