Rainy Morning

The morning showers are keeping me inside.
The month is drawing to a close.
Time to begin packing July up.

I stopped to read a few magazines.
I do like tomato soup and clowns.

I wonder if this clown was before
the Campbell's Soup Kids arrived?

There is a shop near by that carries Madeira embroidery.
I did not know what it was until this morning when I read my grandmother's July 1912 issue of Needlecraft.

I have a few pieces my Grandmother made.

MmmmmmmmGood. A rainy day is a soup day. Tomato soup and grilled cheese. Comfort food :o)

It sounds like you have found some interesting reading while being inside Sherry. That photo of the little girl with the umbrella is darling as is the little clown.

Maybe that clown is a forerunner of the campbell kids.

I wish we had some of your rain now. I is getting dry as can be. I had to move a few plants around in the garden to accomodate our new project and the ground was simply hard. I don't know how things were surviving. I must do some watering of the newly planted.
We did get some rain during the night last night but I think we had more thunder and lightening than rain.

I'll take the showers over the thunderstorm I got to deal with yesterday.

Love the picture of the little girl.

Dear Lisa,
I would be very happy to share some of the rains we have had this week. It is too wet for me to get into the gardens. All mud!
My grandmother's magazines are very fun. I am looking forward to reading the August issues.

Dear Cathy,
I scan the magazines. This one is too big for my scanner! LOL
I too love this picture.
I shall pop over and see what sort of storm you had. Glad you are okay.
