The blizzard began Christmas Eve evening.
The snow continued to fall on Christmas Day
and into Boxing Day.
The wind continued to blow.
We received about 7 inches of snow.
This morning the sun came out.
I walked about in the back yard.
There are large drifts.
There are large drifts.
The snow is still blowing.
I am drying the Christmas Roses.
The birds are flocking to the seed trays.
Happy Sunday Safari.
May you have a safe and prosperous New Year.
OMGosh Sherry. All of that snow looks so cold. The poor little birdies look cold too. It is snowing here but no accumulation is expected. Try to stay warm.
That first Cardinal looks as though it will be blown from its perch! Beautiful photos that tell a snowy story. Keep cozy inside.
It's snowing here today and while I'm reading your post I have a gorgeous cardinal right outside my window. I love that snow brings the birds close in to the feeders.
I saw the female downey woodpecker at the feeder today too.
You always have such great pictures of the birds. I love stopping by because I know you have captured some great beauty.
The bird pictures are beautiful as always but the lavendar and roses are just breathtaking. I guess seeing them now with all the snow outside makes them appear even more special.
Your pictures are just lovely, Sherry! You certainly know how to capture the aftermath of a winter storm.
How on earth do you get your lavender to bloom indoors? Mine is drying up - nowhere near blooming. But, at least the leaves smell nice.
Stay warm and cozy.
You sure got some wonderful photos of your snow event! We were amazed at the blizzard conditions ...watching it on the weather channel! Happy New Year to you, too!
The snow started here on Christmas Day; fortunately, we haven't had the blizzard conditions. I know your birds are so appreciative of your kindness, Sherry. I've noticed more at my feeders in the last two days as well. Hope you are warm and cozy inside!
Dear Sherry.....a wonderful safari.....it looks so cold, and you have had a lot of snow.
I know that you will take care of the birds, they are very vulnerable at this time.....
My Sunday was spent with Mr P....he has ten days off, so we have the opportunity to go out and about together. I shall make the most of it.....he will soon be back to work......
Stay warm my friend......
Beautiful shots! The birds look like they're doing their best to stay warm.
The lavender and the roses are gorgeous.
It's been too long since I've been here to see your lovely posts.
Your snow is beautiful.
I hope your Christmas was merry and your New Year is full of love and light.
