Sunday Safari

It is snowing.

Artic air has blown in.

I stayed home and had coffee with the birds.

There are many birds in my gardens.

I love them all.

They are the joy of my winter.

They are the stars in my January garden.

When the food is scarece in the wild the birds flock to my feeders.
The shy birds come out to the suet cakes.

I am so happy to see the Ruby Crowned Kinglet.

There is a pair that come to the window boxes.

They like the little berries in the ivy.

I am smitten.

Cardinal time is all day long.

Some of the Ladies like the backyard and some like the front.

The Blue Jays are eating the acorns we saved for them.
Happy Sunday Safari.

Thank you for sharing. We have not been feeding the birds this year as we have had a problem with rats.So far we have trapped 5 very large rats and there are still more. "shiver"

Dear Sherry......such beautiful birds in your garden....I can only licken it to paradise.
The little RC Kinglet is such a sweet little bird.....they look a little like our goldcrests.

I do so envy your ability to photograph the birds.....it is so wonderful to be able to see them in such detail. Thank you.

It is snowing here ......we had ice yesterday. Snow on top of ice is not good.
Stay warm......

What a parade of birds you have in your garden, Sherry! They all look so well-fed, too. What is the sweet little yellow bird? I've never seen one of these before.

It's very cold here, too. Stay warm!

Gorgeous shots Sherry! I love Ruby-Crowned Kinglets. They have a cuteness factor x10.

All of your shots are beautiful and show so much personality.

Sherry - your photos of these dear little birds are stunning as always. They are all so fluffed out to insulate themselves from the cold. Do you think they are used to you there with your camera taking shots?

Great work - I so enjoy coming here.

Sherry,
Is that a Purple Finch? The kinglet is a lucky shot.

I'm smitten too, with my 2 month old grand niece so adorable!
