Full Strawberry Moon

The Full Strawberry Moon is today.

We will have strawberries on the deck at moon rise tonight.

I celebrate this Full Moon.
I decorate in her honor.

For some, June's Full Moon is called the Full Rose Moon.
I honour that name too.

Happy Full Moon

Dear Sherry....I watched the moon last night float through the silhouette of the old oak tree. She was beautiful, my husband and I will look out tonight to see her......

Happy fully strawberry moon.

Ijust came in from looking at the moon Sherry. This strawberry moon is so beautiful. I would like to take a picture of it. I just don't know how to set my camera to capture the whole picture. There are some clouds floating by and the reflection of the moon makes them look so pretty.

Dear Lisa,
I too enjoy taking pictures of the Full Moon. To do so I put the camera on the tripod and use aperture priority. I like to see the shadows of the craters on the moon in my pictures. To get them I zoom out as far as possible, for me that is 500x, use a large aperture and a fast lens speed. Over expousure is the main problem since the moon is so bright. I do a bracketing and take maybe 10 pictures at different settings. I choose the pictures I like the best. I did not take pictures last night since I have lots of Full Moon pictures.
I bet she was gorgeous with the clouds.
Keep trying. She will be "fullish" again tonight.

What a lovely idea "full strawberry moon! In summer I usually watch full moon too, but unfortunately we couldn't see it because of all the clouds in the sky. However, today I'll probably see the moon...but it isn't the same!

Dear Barbara,
I so enjoy moon lore. I use the American Indian full moon names. Just beginning to learn the names from other parts of the world.
Happy Full Moon!
