Just perfect music for Bees and Butterflies. The violins remind me of Bees and the flutes sound like what I think butterflies might sound like flitting from flower to flower. Have a great Summer Solstice and weekend.

Dear Lisa,
Mendelssohn is wonderful! This piece is titled, "A Mid Summer Nights' Dream." I have been looking forward to using it for today's slide show.
Happy Summer Solstice.

I always enjoy your Friday slide show; perfect choice of music for the Summer Solstice. The butterflies are my favorite; you have species I don't think I've seen around here.

Happy Summer Solstice. We will celebrate Midsummers Day with fairy cakes & tea, berries and whipped cream :-} I hope the weather forecast is wrong - and it doesn't rain so we can have it outdoors!

Dear Rose,
Thank you. I am having lunch with a treasured girlfriend today.
I hope to watch the last rays of daylight slip away tonight.
I will check and see what butterflies are in your area. I still have lots I have not seen yet this year.
The Bee Balm will bloom soon as will the Butterfly Bushes. Many butterflies will find me when that happens.

That has made my evening. It was lovely to stroll over and listen to such beautiful music. I love violins, always have.
The beautiful photographs of the wonderful wildlife in your garden are always a pleasure to view.

Ah yes, I remember that piece of music from my childhood. Brings back such good memories.
What a wonderful background for your mid-summer creatures.
Happy Summer Solstice to you too!

Dear Cheryl,
Thank you for stopping by and celebrating solstice with me. Something shifted this past week for me and I feel so very alive, awake, alert and enthusiastic. Hope it holds. I have gardens to tend to!
Safari Sunday will be fun. I will hunt for bugs and think of you! I will post too. Since your sun is up six hours before mine I think you might be first to post! We will just have buggy fun!
Happy Solstice,
Sherry

Dear Mari-Nanci,
I noticed last night it was 9 pm and still twilight!
I do love the long twilight.
Hope you also enjoyed your solstice.
