Moonglow Coreopsis and a Bee

The female Mason Bee
is busy in the Moonglow Coreopsis.

Soon she will take her pollen to the bee box.

She will prepare another tube for eggs.

Watching the Mason bees is fun.

Time to lay some bee eggs!

Fablous pictures Sherry. I love the last one. You can see her little bee belly covered with pollen.

I love bumble bees best of all, but this one looks nice too - I've never seen this type of bees here.

Beautiful Sherry. I agree with Lisa - I love the photo of the little bee belly covered in pollen.

Dear Lisa,
She is so cute!!! I watched her go into the bee box with all that pollen! After depositing it she flew out of the nesting hole and turned around and backed down into her nest...I knew she was laying eggs...
I have really been enjoying the bee box and learning about the Mason bees.

Dear Aluajala,
The little Mason Bee is so gentle. She doesn't sting...so sweet.
I too love the Bumbles and the Honey Bees. We have Wood Bees also around our gardens. I am learning about all the different types of bees. There are leaf cutter bees...not sure what they look like but they also use bee boxes for nesting.
Learning about hte bees and ways in which I can help make their lives a bit easier is very fun.
If I was president there would be a bee box for every household.

Dear Leanne,
Thank you. The yellow of the Coreopsis shines bright even when it is cloudy.
Summertime and the living is easy...

Dear Vikki,
I like to think the Mason Bees are so grateful for their nesting box that they allow me to take up close pictures. I sweet talk the bees too. Every time you see a bee I hope you think of me! LOL...
Lots of bee fun1
If I was a bee I would want to be an Orchard Mason bee. The hive stuff is just way too busy for me. I like the pace of the Mason bees.
Sherry, who would still do bee dances even if no one was watching

Dear Marvin,
She is a cutie! I took a few pictures of her backing into her bee box tube. So far I have four tubes full. Two bees are working the box. It is very fun to watch them.

Dear Cheryl,
Thank you for calling me, "bee L
lady". We both are very good friends of the bees. You are the English Bee Lady...perhaps more proper than I??
I am so grateful to you for introducing me to the bee box. I have had so much fun since it arrived.
Beeing so grateful,
Sherry

Dear Anna,
Congratulations on the birth of your new grandson! A joyful time for you and your family.
Bees, butterflies, birds and blooms are fun but not as fun as new babies!
Hugs to you and your littlest one,
Sherry
