Both are just beautiful Sherry. In the first photo it looks like the butterfly is playing peek a boo with you.

Dear Lisa,
The first photo is me sneaking up....
I saw the Tiger while I was out in the yard. Did not know the Swallowtails would go for lilies.
Glad they do!

Dear Tom,
I was wowed!!!
My husband likes the deep orange of these lilies. I thought he also would enjoy the yellow of the Tiger added on.

Dear Shellmo,
I thought the same thing!
There is a pair of tangerine sandals I have been thinking of ordering. After seeing the Tiger with the lilies I think I will go for the sandals. Orange goes with so many colors!

Dear Leanne,
Thank you! This series is a wee different. Glad you enjoyed it.
You will be so pleased when your lilies open. The daylilies are somewhat late this year. It has been a bit wet. I do not mind the delay.

Tiger Lillies always remind me of my Grandmother. She had the orange ones, & the pink.

Grand lilies and great capture of the Tiger Swallowtail. The brightness of those orange lilies almost makes the swallowtail look drab. They are bright and beautiful.

These are my husband's favoite blooms. When he sees the beauiful contrast of colors between the lillies and the butterfly, I'm sure it will take his breath away. Thank you for another wonderful example of what is right in this world! Love, Vikki

Dear Mari-Nanci,
These Lilies are orange Asiatics. The Tiger Lilies will bloom in early July! These look very similiar. A few years ago I was smitten by orange flowers. I bought these for the Easter table. After Easter I planted them in the back garden. They took off.
Seeing the Tiger Swallowtail in them was thrilling.
I do live in tornado alley! I would not live in the mid-west with out a basement!
Always exciting around K.C. in the summertime!

Dear Meggie,
I have seen some very beautiful pink lilies. I still seem to be drawn to orange...must be the need for the energy.
I love the way flowers can remind us of loved ones.

Dear Marvin,
I was so surprised at how small the Tiger appeared too. Normally I think the Tigers are huge.
Watching this buttterfly nectar in the lilies was amazing. He was covered with pollen each time he came out of the throat of a lily.
I do enjoy watching the bugs....

Dear Icqb,
Thank you for leaving a comment. It is nice getting to know you. I appriciate you taking the time to connect.
I enjoy taking pictures and I hope to leave a little something for each person that comes by. Maybe they will see the bugs and the birds in their backyards a bit differently once they see how fantastic they are. No need to kill a bug! Catch and release is our way.
I did not get out to walk today. Hope to tomorrow. When ever I stay in I walk in place. I just must move the body every day!
Thank you for walking with me. I never feel alone.
Namaste,
Sherry
