before I saw him.
My heart began to race.
The bees are awake!
"Hello honey bee.
I am happy to see you.
I have missed you."
A good food source for the bees
and for me.
A Cabbage White butterfly flew by.
First butterfly of the season!
The violets are just emerging.
It is a happy day.
The bugs are back!
Oh I am sooo excited that your bug buddies have returned! I can't wait to see your amazing bug pictures this year!
Oh,it looks a lot like a season beyond winter - love it! The color, the buzzy bees, the fab flowers. Oh, it's beautiful... Snowed here again last night. :(
Yippeeeee! They're back! I am glad Old Man Winter is finally sleeping once again. Even the snow didn't stop the return of your beloved bees and butterflies.
It is indeed a happy day.
I love it when the bees start to show up again. I really enjoy the big fuzzy slow bumble bees. So lovely to see your bug friends on your beautiful flowers.
Hi Sherry......how wonderful to see the bees again....I felt so excited for you.....I understand that racing of the heart....mine nearly stops sometimes, when I can hear them and not see them.....
Little cabbage white is lovely....I have a place in my heart for her. Most gardeners do not like her because she lays eggs on the vegetables........I grow nasturtiums each year for her....the butterflies have used them.......she is always welcome in my garden, as are all the other insects....spring is here, I feel Sunday safari is close by??
They are going to freeze their wings off tomorrow and monday. Great photos Sherry. I especially like the one with the bees face buried in the dandelion. I often want to do that...stick my nose in a dandelion that is.
Sherry, I love the photos of the bees in flight - the way their wings appear!!
I am so happy to see the bees again! I watched them again today. I also saw a few other great bugs...cold temperatures are coming in tomorrow so my bugs will have to take cover until it warms up again.
At least I know they are awake!
I am looking forward to doing some macro photography this year with the bugs!
Spring does come late to your neck of the woods but she always comes.
I am to have rain and cold tomorrow...I do hope it does not snow...last week we had sleet and snow. It was depressing! Knowing the bees are awake just fills me with energy. I have lots to do to make sure they have plenty of food.
Happy National Poetry month.
I am over the moon! Today I was cleaning up a flower bed and watched the little honey bees on muscari. I did not stop for photogrpahs. I will next time.
The bees will be here now for a few months...thank goodness. I so miss the bugs in the winter.
I saw a my first bat tonight, at dusk, while walking. I love Spring!
I also love the Bumbles. The Bumbles are fun. The Honey Bees will land on my legs sometimes. Last summer I feed honey to the honey bees! It was wonderful to do so.
We will have lots of fun this year photographing the bugs...
I wanted to run right over to your garden and tell you all about the honey bees! It is very exciting....
Soon our weather will settle down and we can go on Sunday Safari.
I am thinking the first Sunday in May? We can chat...
Our bugs are back...you had a marvelous photograph of the Orange Tip butterfly...Just gorgeous...
Yeah for the bees!
I do stick my nose in the dandy!!!
I want to save a bunch of them for my dye pot this year. I want to dye something with dandelion flowers.
It is to be very cold tomorrow and Monday....Today it was 60 degrees and windy. April is often cold and wet.
I have seen the first bees in our garden too but unlike you have been unable to catch them camera :-) Enjoy your spring :-)
LOVE THE BUGS!
