Home

My first couple of days at the Raj, in
Maharishi Vedic City, Iowa,
the weather was rainy and foggy.

I stayed in my room and read between spa treatments.
I watched instructional videos.
I came to learn about the Vedic way of life.
It is all about digestion!

As the week unfolded I began to feel lighter.
I felt enthusiasm;
creative ideas began to flow.

The morning chorus greeted me each day.
Spring came in gently while I was away.
I returned refreshed, renewed
and nourished.

My daughter had a package sent. It was waiting for me when I checked in.
I read her card off and on during my stay. "The poet John Berryman said, "We must travel in the direction of our fear." But we certainly need not travel alone!"
I snuggled with little Penguin chick at night. She is a Llama Llovable.

The hand loomed, wool shawl came from India.
The colors were just perfect for my Spring Rejuvenation.

I had to catch up with your last posts and I found again wonderful pictures, sometimes very medidative. It is a pleasure to see them as always. I hope you'll have a happy and joyful Easter!
Best wishes, Barbara

Welcome home Sherry. How thoughtful of your daughter to have a "care package" waiting for you. Your little penguin looks like he was good company :-}

Dear Lisa,
I am happy to be home. Happy to go and happy to return!
I learned so much. It will take a while to get everything intregrated into my life. One meal at a time!

Dear Deb,
Little Penguin was very good company! I read my daughter's card a few times each day. If I needed a rationalization for doing this "spaing" I can always say, "I am role modeling for my daughter!"
Learning self care has been hard for me. I am very used to taking care of others.
Thank you Deb for your kind words.
Happy Easter.
Happy Spring.
Namaste,
Sherry

Dear Sprite,
My daughter understood and understands how hard this was/is for me to do. She is very sweet and supportive. By going to the spa I am making a statement that I am taking care of my body. I am not only caring for Mother Nature but also for me, Mother Nature's daughter.
It is exciting. The Aurveda way is very beautiful.
Thank you Sprite for your care and love.
Namaste,

Dear Meggie,
I decided to get a new shawl as part of my Spring re-birth. I do have a few shawls and I keep them for special occasions. I have decided each day is a special occasion and I will wear my shawls and enjoy them.
My daughter is so kind and loving!
Ahhhh....
Thanks for your support.
Namaste,
Sherry
