A great way to begin the weekend Sherry. I do so enjoy your renderings. The Downy Woodpecker photos were great. Their tails are fablous works of art as are your videos.

Peace

Dear Sue,
This week I celebrated Indian Summer, the Corn Maidens anf the Indian Pricess. I was very pleased to find "Corn dance Song" on the cd "Dance to the Drum" when I began to make our slide show. Kevin Lewis is our artist. This cd is a compliation of Native American songs. "Corn Dance Song" is from the Navajo/Cherokee tradition.
Glad you enjoyed this.
Thank you for your continued support.

Throughout the slideshow I felt how all people are united through birds, plants, trees, the moon, the sun and all of creation--and what a beautiful thing that is. . .Thank you for reminding me of this. Hugs~carol

Dear Carol,
Thank you for connecting to the simple message that we are connected and we are one.
I think it is important to celebrate each day, each species and each human who walks on this good red road.

Dear Cheryl,
I try to be open to Mother Earth each week. She sends so many different and interesting creatures to my backyard.
I am inspired by the wind and the moon and friends like you.
Thank you!
Sherry

Dear Lisa,
I am very lucky to have two pairs of Downy and two pairs of Hairy Woodpeckers that come to the feeders. A pair of Red-bellies call the large nut feeder their feeder. I love having the woodpeckers about. I too think the tail feathers are fantastic.
Thanks Lisa for your continued support.
Life is fun when I cans hare the comings and goings in the backyard.
All my relations,
Sherry

Dear Marmee,
I do not know the meaning of the words. I think they are Navajo. I will do some more research and see what I learn. I think the simple song is so very lovely. I am transported to a time and place very far removed from 2008 and my city.
Thank you.
I enjoyed thinking about this week's slide show and taking my photographs. Adding some pictures of some decorative items in my house seemed to work. The opening scene is of a painted tile from Sante Fe New Mexico.
Glad you enjoyed this one.
Alll my relations,
Sherry

Dear Marmee,
I love questions! I do not always have an answer but I enjoy the challange of finding out. I still have not learned the meaning of the words. Theya re lovely and I hope they encourage everyone to be respectful of the earth and of each other. All the ways are to be honored.
Nice to know you have a connection to the First Nations of the Americas!

Dear Cathy,
Thank you for picking the theme up this past week. I do try to have one.
I do a word each day too. I look for my word. Sometimes I see my word in the clouds or in the shadows. Sometimes I hear my word whispered in the leaves or whistled in the wind.
My word today is gratutude!
Thank you for being my friend.
Attitude of gratitude,
Sherry
