I went hunting for signs of Spring.
Robins were enjoying the freshly
raked vegetable garden.
enjoyed the few crocus that are in bloom.
I wondered where Little Bee would go after gathering the pollen
from these few blooms.
I went inside to see if I had any blooms Little Bee
might enjoy.
No Little Bee food there.
They are pretty but not very good bee food.
I saw the honey comb in my honey pot.
Spring is wakening.
Soon I will have lots of blooms for Little Bee
and her hive mates.

Oh be still my heart. What wonderful spring time photos. That robin photo makes me feel like I could reach out and touch him. I can't beleive you have bees already. I am so jealous. I haven't seen one yet. I was outside all afternoon. The rain ran me inside. Now the sun is about to set. It is supposed to be pretty tomorrow. Maybe I will see my first bee.
Oh Sherry. You are so funny...making sure that bee had a full tummy before you sent her on her way. Or are they hims?
Well, as usual, looks like our garden experiences are setting up to be the good gardener/bad gardener situation again. Your first insect to visit is a lovely little fuzzy bee. Me??? My first insect of the season was a tick. Ha ha ha ha.
It was so nice to hear from you over at my blog!!!!!! Gawd. I am such a bad friend. This winter has put me in complete hibernation from everything. But daylight savings time starts next week (?) and the weather is finally getting pretty...we'll have to meet for lunch SOON. I'm sure you have one million stories of things you've been doing. I'm going to try and dig up one before we meet. Hahaha.

How beautiful! We went to a State park today and saw lots of azaleas in bloom and several birds! I'm behind posting photos of what we've seen here in Florida! ♥

Incredibly beautiful photos of the bee Sherry! So lovely to see something more associated with 'Summer'.
I'm sure many of your visitors from 'across the pond' have said this before but it really is noticeable how very different our European Robin is compared with yours. Ours is much smaller, about 5 inches long and I think yours is about 11 inches.

That looks like one happy bee! Lovely photos of him. I haven't seen one yet this year, but then I haven't been out much, it's been so cold and wet.
Thank you for your comment on my blog. I always enjoy reading yours and seeing what's happening, you always have such great photos. What a winter to stay home, but the cold and wet winter we've had have made the butterflies hide and it seems the birds too. It's getting warmer and migration will be starting so maybe we'll see more activity.
No bees here yet but I did see a redwing blackbird yesterday. The males always arrive here early in the spring to pick the best nesting spots along the creek.

Oh Sherry how exciting!!! A lovely bee - and in March too! An early summer for sure.
I just loved loved loved your bee pics, especially the one where you got the bee's tongue licking the honey. Incredible! And his wings are so clear, you can see right through!
