and my correspondences.
I know the snow will melt soon,
just not today.
and watching college basketball.
I am dreaming about "Sweet Spring".
There are so many ideas.
I know I want to plant another lavender hedge.
I am learning about Astrology.
I am learning about Archetypes.
My Magical Earth Child is in the house of Aries.
Soon I will be back outside with the birds.
I will be outside with all the new beginnings of Spring.
Happy Sunday Safari.
SIX inches of snow!!! OMG. That is uncalled for. The picture of the junco seemingly hung up on a snowbank says it all. Poor little thing. Good thing you have lots of interesting books to keep your mind occupied. Happy Sunday to you.
No snow but very cold and damp.
Lovely Sunday Safari pictures of your sweet garden birds. Your plans for the day sound wonderful ♥ Enjoy!
Dear Sherry....six inches of snow, oh my goodness, this is just too much, is it not? I bet your feet were cold when the snow came in the top of your boots?
The birds must be fed up to and longing for spring to stay....
At least the long winter has given you time to read and enjoy your books.
My husband and son are both Aries. My grandfather was also an Aries. It is a very strong sign....ruled by the planet Mars...
I love the plans for your garden.....look forward to seeing them evolve..
You and I must keep the DREAM of spring alive! The sun is out here in Denver and melting our foot of snow. I love the first photo of the bird watching the snow and the photo of the wind blowing the cardinal's feathers is so cute. It looks as though the bird is complaining!
Wonderful birds and great pictures!
I love the picture of the Mourning Dove.
This time we were much luckier that you. We only got a couple inches that stuck. The wind was bitter but by Sunday the weather had turned again and the snow was gone quickly.
I won't get too smug because we frequently get snow in April.
I had to check your location, thought you must have moved north! Incredible, so much snow!
Your birds are, as always, so exquisitely captured, I truly enjoy looking at them. Thank you! :-)
Stay warm and be patient!
A Lavender hedge... I too dream of having one, a house across from me does and it looks stunning, I'm just unsure about giving up the space for such a short period of flowering.
I love the bird photos, and cannot believe you got another 6 inches of snow? That must be so frustrating!
A magical garden! How exciting!! I must look that book up too. I ordered the drawing and painting fairyland book, since it looked so good on one of your posts! Can't wait to receive it.
I love your photo of that bird snow-surfing! It's an exceptional photo! I hope you put that one on a card.
Are you still spinning? Sounds like it from your books.
Six inches is way too much, but you know it will melt soon. March is going out like a lion, I think. Here too, it's been cold (after we had such a nice warm spell).
My sons and hubby are all aries. In our family, the boys seem to be born in spring. The girls in fall.
Keep us posted on your magical garden. I am intrigued!
Thanks for this your magnificent
Safari Sunday: for me the first and the fifth photo are poetry!
oh my so much snow. we had a stunning day today...so i was out trimming and planting but storms are blowing in. it will be cold and damp. i love that you are chasing spring...i too am holding out for it to come soon.
Sorry I haven't been around for awhile, Sherry--I've been visiting my daughter in Arizona, where it is spring, but feels like summer. I had no idea you had a snowstorm this past weekend! I remember as we flew home looking down over an area I thought was Kansas and seeing snow all over the fields. Perhaps I was flying over your house:) I, too, have been watching basketball, although my Illini were defeated last night. Are you a Missouri fan or a Kansas fan? We also went to a couple Cubs' spring training games, so now I'm in baseball mode.
I hope that snow melts quickly and spring arrives for good at your house!
Spring snow eh! Sounds like the dance between winter and spring to me. Love all your sweet bird photos and the garden ideas are lovely as can be. Wishing you a lovely week.
Sherry, I love the photo of the mourning dove with the droplets of water on his back! You get incredible detail in your bird shots!
Sherry, six inches of snow, Yikes!
We have been so lucky to have had a very mild winter here in the PNW, and now with a early spring, I have been able to get some veggie starts in already.
