Ides of March

The Ides of March are interesting to read about.

I stamp my calendar; my own hieroglyphics.
No misfortune here.

I always forget the date of the Ides of March. Somehow, I *want* to think it's the 16th. Funny me.

And I think your willow branch waving is working!!! Yeaaaaa!!! More snow is melting, here! Please do keep waving your willow branch, in my direction. My Garden Gnome needs all the help he can get, in melting that snow cover. :-)

Dear Mari-Nanci,
Those Romans had such a lovely way of saying things. It must have taken a very long time to have a conversation. "Ides" are every 15th of the month.
So glad your snow is melting!
How much did you get this winter? I could not tell but it looked from your photos to be many, many feet. You look as if you live in snow shoe country.
I only wave the willow branch for those in snow distress. Glad it worked. You needed a break from the ice and snow.
