Welcome Spring

The Vernal Equinox is today.

Many ways to celebrate.
Many treasures to find.

Many gifts to open.
Happy Spring!

Thank you for all your reminders! It is very interesting to click on your links and follow the info. I have been spreading the ashes from our fire around the garden. I have to prepare to plant my root vegetable seeds very soon:-)
When the weather is drier we hope to open up our compost bins and spread the mulch around the shrubs too.

Dear Chris,
I love your way of taking care of the garden on the first day of Spring. Pot ash is so good for the soils. If you follow the moon signs for planting, we do as much as possible, carrots, onions, garlic and leeks go in after full moon. Sometimes we just try to plant between the rains!
Compost is wonderful! I use it for mulch. Too pretty to hide in the soils.
Glad you enjoyed the links. I thought they were fun.
Happy Spring.

Hi Deb,
I too liked all the different olde ways the Vernal Equinox was celebrated. I bet "Easter" was once the equinox. I enjoy learning about the olde ways they let me know why I do the things I do!
Coming up with daily events is easier when I have ideas like these. Spring has been around here for a couple of weeks now. I had just about run out of fun things to do each day. I loved the story idea.
Happy Spring!
Your snows will melt soon and your garden will burst with color and delights.

Dear Sprite,
For my, "Welcome Spring" I wanted to show the subtle ways Spring shows herself. The feather in the dandilion was a gift. Watching the sparrows build their nest in the sound box of the wind harp has been fun.
I am fond of the milk weed seed pod. I love watching the seeds drift about in the spring breezes.
You are so fun!
"Little Sparrow is a shape shifter. Once upon a time the Sparrow was a large bird. In the days of Lemuria the Sparrow watched over the people......"
Stories. We shall write one together one day. We shall tell the stories of long, long ago.
Until that time...
