Brown Pelicans

I love Brown Pelicans.
Watching them fly over at Boca Chica was a gift.

Incredible birds!

The 12th Annual Backyard Bird count is underway.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Aren't pelicans the most prehistoric looking birds. I am always amazed that they can actually fly.

The little Sanderling is one of my favorite shorebirds. Especially when they are in their winter plummage. They look so elegant in their black and white.
