Home

I am home from Texas.
I have many stories.
We drove 2766 miles.
We had fun!

I was awed by the Lower Rio Grande Valley.
Roseate Spoonbills and Great Egrets waded with
Tri-colored Herons while Black Vultures circled over head.

The Green Jays took my breath away!

I am grateful to have seen
Zebra Heliconians in the wild.
I know them as Zebra Longwings.

I watched at dusk as the Zebra Longwings decide on their roosting spot.
I watched spell bound as one by one they readied for sleep.
I had all the time I needed to watch butterflies sleep.

I am happy to be home.
Happy to be back with my birds.

How wonderful to see so many different birds, none of which will ever be seen in this neck of the woods. The Green Jay is spectacular..!
We watched a documentary on Charles Darwin last night, and I though of you. Can you imagine the photos Darwin could have taken with a digital camera..!
