Sunday Safari

Cheryl from My Wildlife Sanctuary
and I went on Safari today.
We hunt bugs!
She went to her Apple Tree
and I went to the Missouri River.

I hunted in my yard for bugs this morning.
Mr. Bumbles was in the lavender.
We had trapped an opossum over night.
We went to the river park to release him.
The Eight-spotted Forester grabbed my attention.

She is a dainty moth.
She is found in the spring and again in August.

The Baltimore Orioles were in the trees.
The Cabbage Whites were flying. Cheryl and I hope to go on Sunday Safari all summer.
Do hope you will join us.

Dear Sherry....such a lovely post....full of colour and beautiful creatures.
It is so lovely to be amongst the bees and bugs. I love the moth, is he not as pretty as a butterfly? People often reject them because they are dull.....I do not agree, all bugs are beautiful, in their own way......

Your bee is delightful, especially on the lavender bloom....a perfect combination...

I loved sharing this time with you, and look forward to next week.......

What a lovely idea. I make a list of all the plants flowering in my garden every Sunday; perhaps I should be looking to see what creatures I can find out there every week too.

What fun! I always enjoy your photography. I think the one with the bee is my favorite. You can see its texture.

Just beautiful! I'm glad you had a nice day! It was a little drizzly here today..but that's nice sometimes, too!

Your photos and post are sweet delights. :) It rained here yesterday, most of the day actually, and is raining really hard this a.m. The water is ponding in our back yard. I'm not complaining...the earth really needed the water.

Such lovely photos Sherry, I enjoyed accompanying you on your Safari. What a pretty bird The Baltimore Oriole is, such a vivid colour and the Eight-spotted Forester is so striking.

A good Safari and finally time! I hope our lavender grows this year and attracts some bees.

Yes, finally! I am so glad to see the bees and bugs again! It's been a long winter, but that is behind us now. Now we celebrate Spring!
Your bumble looks so good against the lavender. And the little moth is so beautiful. Thanks for taking us on your Safari.
