A Damselfly?

I saw this charming Damselfly in the zinnias.

Perhaps it is a Skimmer.
I do not know.
I only know this bug is lovely.

She reminds me of a balerina on toe shoes.

It IS a lovely bug. I saw them from afar at a community pond last week. I'd love to see one visit me!

Dear Lynne,
She does look like a ballerina!
I loved the red-orange. I had never seen one of these. I am trying to id but my book is not very good. I need one that is for my area I think. Maybe this winter I will find a group I can join that knows about the different
dragonflies and butterflies and I can learn more.

Dear Mary,
My variety of dragonflies is increasing. So far this summer I have seen four different types in the yard. As I learn more maybe I can draw more in.
So much to learn!

Dear Nita,
The Dragonflies are beautiful and amazing. An old species too!
I enjoy seeing them! This one was rather small!
Wings, I like wings.
Thinking of you as you study for your exam...

Too early to be thinking straight!
