The Perseid Meteor Shower
will peek tomorrow night August 12, 2007.
It will be the New Sunflower Moon so the skies will be dark.
Some shooting stars will be visible tonight if you can find a dark sky away from light pollution.
I want to go out into the country tonight.
We can put the top down and do some star gazing.

Hmm I live out in the boonies, sticks or woods. Not sure if I'll see anything. I really need a good night sleep, so planning to turn in at 11
I have to go look, hmm, wonder what time is best?
Everyone knows what I will be doing! I live in the boonies, too. It should be fun...as long as the clouds stay away.
I forgot to look last night! But, I will be out tonight for sure.
Thanks for the reminder, it was written on my calender but I forgot. I must try tonight..did you manage to see anything?
I hope you get to see them!!
Hi Cathy,
Away from the city would be very nice! We have so much light pollution that I seldom see a shooting star!
Maybe you could grab a quick glance up right before shut eye!
Sherry
Hi Mon@rch,
Late night is best! The darkest part of the sky too.
Hope you get to see a few shooters!
Sherry
Hi Susan,
How nice to live far away from the maddening crowd and light pollution, air pollution and other city troubles.
Enjoy the show!
Sherry
Hi Sandi,
You will enjoy the shooting stars. I have a list of wishes ready.
Sherry
Hi Sheila,
we did not get away from the city last night. I did not see any :-}
Maybe we can get away tonight. I hope so!
Even if I do not get to see them at least I know they are there.
Sherry
Hi Naturewoman,
Me too!
There is a total eclipse of the moon on the 28th. Those are always fun too.
Sherry
I heard we could see it at 1am. HA! Not a chance!
Sherry, I hope you see it with your top down. Hold on to your hat!
Hugs,
Mary
Hi Mary,
I could be awake at 1am! I never know when I will get to sleep anymore, no hormones...long story.
Right now there are clouds! Hopefully somebody is seeing shooting stars tonight!
I am wishing for rain and cool down for you!
Hugs,
Sherry
I wish so very much that I could have seen this. Nita
Dear Nita,
Too cloudy at my house!
Just knowing it is happening makes me smile.
Sherry
