A beautiful instrumental. I enjoyed it while sipping my morning tea. I think it sounds like almost flute-like at times. I bet it is difficult to play. All musical instruments intimidate me though. :/
Dear Lisa,Zhou Yu plays the erhu on this piece entitled, "Miss Shepherdess" from the 1999 release, "The Art of the Chinese Erhu". When I began my study of the Asian cultures I began learning about the different music. The erhu is a two stringed instrument, er means two in Chinese. The resonator is covered in python which gives the unusual sound. I would love to find a cd of Chinese or Japanese bird songs!Hope you are staying warm.Have a relaxing three day weekend.Sherry
The icicles at the end were the show-stopper. Lovely, Sherry!
:-) Sooooo relaxing :-) Ready for the weekend now! Loved the little rabbits in the snow. Great photos as always.
How nice! The rabbit's appearance surprised me! Music and photos are divine as always. Inspiring! The wooden ball on the post is full of character, too. Bet you could do a lovely photo series of it.
Dear Mary,I caught those icicles during the last rays of the sunset last night. I saw them out of my office window while I was downloading photos! I knew I would have to telephoto the icicles since they were hanging off the awning in my neighbor's backyard. To "see" the light I would have to stand at the same angle as my view from the window. I kept telling my computer to, "Hurry up!" I needed my camera quickly before I was out of sun rays!I was able to get three shots. I was very pleased.Glad you enjoyed the slide show.Sherry
Dear Chris,I do like this album. The other selections are very beautiful too. I chose this one because it was rather short. Some of the others are over five minutes long. I have the photos for a long slide show! I saw two rabbits yesterday. The hawks are pretty good at keeping the rabbit population in check.Slide shows are fun for me to do, glad they are fun for you to watch.Shall we have a cup of tea?Stay dry and warm,Sherry
Dear Sue, Friend and advisor of Odysseus, thank you. Putting the rabbits in was a way of adding a bit of drama to the show. They hide rather well from the hawks. I have a series of photos of the balls with snow and steam rising. Lots of pictures of snow spray left when I missed the shot of the bird! The ball finials are a favorite spot for the Woodpeckersto clean their beaks after suet! With the right music it could be a great show.Sherry
I love the way you put this together and the music is perfect.Just beautiful..!Have a great weekend Sherry..xx
Dear Sheila,Thank you. I look forward to creating the slide shows. After I get a macro lens I want to get a true digital recoding camera. Making videos would be very fun. I still am working on making my own sound recordings. So far I am unimpressed with the sound quality. So many things to learn!Sherry
Beautiful as always.Thank you for telling us about the music. Lovely and totally new to me.Mari-Nanci
Dear Mari-Nanci,You are welcome! Each month I listen to different types of music. Now that I know how to do the slide shows I can share some of my favorite pieces. I was concerned the birds would not look right with the Chinese piece but they did just fine.Glad you enjoyed it. Lots of fun. I watch too off and on during the week!Stay warm! It is so cold!Sherry
So beautifully done Sherry. I loved the variation of stillness and movement between the music and images. The serenity of the cardinal, flight of the Canadian Goose, and inquisitive face of the rabbit blended perfectly with this wonderful instrumental.
Thankyou. A magical presentation.
Dear Deb,Thank you.I thought the images of the "glitter" snow went well with this piece. I thought of you when a large flock of Canadian Geese flew over yesterday. They were very high up and heading south. I did not blame them. I knew the temperatures were going to drop again. Zero degrees Fahrenheit, (-18 Celsius) at 8:30 am. It did warm up to a tad this afternoon. Brrr....Glad you liked slide show. Hope you are staying warm.Sherry
Dear Meggie,Winter can be very beautiful here. The snow in the air and the birds help me to forget it is cold.Sherry

Dear Anna,I am so happy you found the peace of this peice!I have only been to Arizona once.My Mother-in-law goes off and on to visit her cousin and her friends. She used to have a winter place in Phoenix.Have a warm and safe trip!Hugs,Sherry
*****Dear Sherry,Oh, what lovely music to go with the slide show. It was perfect with the timing of the birds. This music touches something deep inside of me, and pulls at my heartstrings. Thank you for playing it.I loved seeing the bunny.Beautiful, just beautiful!*sprite
Dear Sprite,The ancient music gets inside of me too. I seem to "remember" smells and sounds. January is a fun and lovely month with the Japanese and Chinese decor and music. I love the art of the far east.Bunny is my promise of spring.love,Sherry
Irresistible, Opens me like a hard nut melts with a kiss of blue butterfly! The moment cease to die, a scent always running through my veins, in my heart...in every moment.Mrityunjay / Chandigarh (India)
