Dear Cheryl,
My husband and I set the tripod up and took a range of Full Moon pictures.
This one I liked the best!
Happy Full Moon!

Dear Chris,
Thank you!
The American Indians named the August full moon the Full Sturgeon Moon becauce of how easy it was to catch those fish this time of year. Some Indiand called this moon the Full Green Corn. I named the new moons! We have two in August this year. Come the 30th I will be naming the second new moon!
No idea yet what it will be although I bet a bug is honored!

Dear Wendy,
Thank you!
I am harvesting lots of wild grasses right now. My vegetable garden is full of "native" grasses (weeds to some)! Good composit stuff.

this is an incredible photo. several nights ago dh and i went out around midnight and laid the quilts down and watched the shooting stars. i think it was around same time as the moon cause we had to get where it was behind the tree line to see the stars. we must have seen at least a dozen.
one of our favourite things to do.

Dear Marmee,
Thank you. I do enjoy taking pictures of the moon.
I bet you and your husband watched some of the Perseid meteor shower.
We have too much light polution to be able to see it from our backyard. I have seen some of the shooting stars before when we have gone out away from the city. It is so beautiful! We have a convertible car and I always have enjoyed top down star gazing!
