Wonderful uplifting way to enter the weekend Sherry. Loved seeing the wren scattering seeds to find just the right bite. And the Mrs Cardinal sitting in clumpy snow-covered limbs. Have a great weekend.

Good Morning Lisa,
So glad you liked this piece. It is called, "Devotional" from the cd
Tala Matrix. The group is called Tabla Beat Science.
In the liner notes for this cd I read about the "space between". Not only is this part of the 16 beat cycle but it is where I connect to the music of the tabla.
Hope you also have a fine weekend.
See you in "the space between."

Dear Mary,
Tabla Beat Science is upbeat and modern. I love the sounds of the tabla. It is said it is the sound of the heartbeat. Tabla players are all over the world.
For me the tabla is a coming home sound and instrument.
I watched this morning as a Sharp-shinned Hawk flew through, the Copper's Hawk flew through and a neighbor's cat patrolled. My poor songbirds! By the time all the predators leave they will be hungry.
Have a great weekend too.
Hope you get to relax and spend some time with your birds.

Dear Jeanne,
Thank you!
I am sometimes far-far away...
Glad you enjoyed this selection.
I will be packing February things up next week. Soon spring will come and a new culture and new music will fill my home.
The Eclipse was very beautiful. These photos are different exposures. Rather than a series of the progression of the eclipse my husband did a series of under through over exposures. I really liked all of the photos.
Love and light,
Sherry

Dear Cathy,
Slide show Fridays are fun!
I too could dance around to this tune! I do seem to pulse to the tabla drum beat.
The eclipse rather defined my week. I think I will use one photo for my Almanac posting on Monday.
Glad this was fun for you.

Dear Sue,
I do enjoy the tabla. I am pleased to hear modern as well as classical pieces. Not all tabla players are from India! This group is here in the U.S.
The 16 beat is different from the timing we are accustomed to listening to but I find I resonate with it.
It is that balance of calm and invigeration that stirs my spirit too. Ahhh...like the food of India and Sanskrit. I find it exciting.

Thank you for the eclipse pics :-) I really wish I had set the alarm now and watched it myself! The hawk looks fierce! I wanted to warn your cardinals and wrens to watch out :-) Hope you are having a great weekend.

Dear Chris,
The older I get the harder it is for me to attend "middle of the night" astrological events. Even if I try very hard I am asleep by midnight.
The eclipse lasted for a couple of hours here before clouds came and cover the moon.
The Hawks are about every day. The song birds are skittish. I also have noticed more cats! Lots of predators.
Hope you have a great week. MArch is coming and with her brings spring!
Sherry
