Red-Breasted Nuthatch

I heard a different call.
The Red-Breasted Nuthatch
flew in.
He is new to the back yard.

I hope he stays for the Winter.

Dear Mary,
I hope so! He can bring friends too.
I have seen Red-Breasted before just not in my backyard...
My bird book says they winter over sometimes in my area.
I will fill more peanut feeders so all the Nuthatches and Woodpeckers have food around the clock.
The good life for all!

Dear Deb,
It was so very exciting!!!
He is small too. I have a nut feeder outside the office window. I hope he finds it. It is small, just the right size for little birds.

Dear Sprite,
I do love the little birds.
White-Breasted Nuthatch is much bigger than Red-Breasted. I am smitten!

Dear Chris,
I was so happy to show my husband Red-Breasted photos when he came home from work. Having a new species come to the feeders is always fun!

Dear Mon@rch,
They are fun! So pretty too. Now I hope to see a female. If they like it here maybe next spring they will nest and I will see little ones. That would be lots of fun.

Oh, I love him! I've never seen one or had one at my feeders. Beautiful photos!

Dear Jayne,
You know the thrill of a new bird at the feeders! Now that migration has begun I am hoping to see all sorts of new to me birds.
I always have room for a new feeder if need be.
This little darling is very, very cute!
