Chinese Lilac

When we planted this sapling we took a chance. We had never seen one of these trees. Not a shade tree or a fruit tree but my it does fill the air with a heavenly scent. The Monarchs enjoy it too.

I cut two blooms for the house. Instantly the house smelled of lilac.

What a BEAUTIFUL flowering tree. Oh, to have some lovely smelling blooms in one's house would be so delightful. No wonder the Monarchs love them! These photographs are stunning.

Thank you! I am so enjoying my new camera as you can tell!
Next thing I want to learn is how to take photos of bugs. I like bugs.

Do you remember what day of the year the Monarchs go through the Kansas City Area on their migration southward? I am thinking it's August? Does that sound right?

I think August is correct. Could be the first part of
September. I have it written down so we will not miss it! I will post!
