Sprouts!

The rain we received this afternoon was just the ticket for the seeds we planted to sprout. If the rabbits do not eat the tiny seedlings we could have some marvelous Autumn eating.
This late in the year we are taking a chance on the zucchini. The squash bugs will not be a problem, frost could get the plants before we have any fruit. I am dreaming of fresh, garden zucchini for Thanksgiving.
The rains stopped and the Monarch was out.

The nights are chilly. I wear a sweater when I go out after sun down.
