Mitten Tree

In the Ice and Snow garden the Alpine tree stands 4 1/2 feet tall.

It is my mitten tree. My childhood mitten guards hold the remains from slippers my daughter gave me years ago.
My grandmother's baby bonnet serves as the topper. Mittens also hang from its branches. For the tree skirt I wrapped one of my sister's old coat scarves. I remember when my sister and I would go play in the snow.

Hi Deb,
When my Mother broke up her housekeeping I found all sorts of little bits and pieces from my childhood. This tree developed from the snowman mitten guards.
I never know when a tree will begin nor when one is finished.
