New Toy

I went to the camera shop and bought a filter for the telephoto lens.
I had tried to take photos of the geraniums but I was never pleased.
The color is too bright even on cloudy days.
I needed a glare reducer.

I am playing with the filter today.
The volunteer pumpkin still has a bit of a shine

The Eastern Tailed-blue stayed around long enough for me to play around a little bit.
Each time I add a piece of equipment I have to learn how to use it.

It began to sprinkle. The male Ruby Throated Hummingbird perched.
I am learning how a filter can be used on sunny days and cloudy days.

I've taken pictures of geraniums before and I always found the red to be over the top. Hmm maybe I should tried the infrared lens on them.

My infrared book came today. I'll let you know if it's any good.

Hi Cathy,
They are bright!
I would love to know how the infrared did with the geraniums.
Keep me posted on book. I am about a year out on infrared. I want to read and learn a bit before I get the lens.
I have a macro on order. Next it is a wide angle and next is infrared!
Photography is a life time study!
Is is so nice to talk camera with you.
Thanks Cathy.

Whoa! The geraniums are vibrating so brightly, wow. I love geraniums!

Love the pumpkin volunteer! Do you think you will have some for Halloween? That would be wonderful!

I'm so excited about your new filter, I can't wait to see what you do next.

Blessings~

Enjoy experimenting with your new camera lens Q. I don't know how you will "improve" on your already fabulous photos though :-}

Dear Sprite,
I hope this pumpkin does well. We have no idea what variety it is but I am pleased to have one growing. Always in the past the squash bugs have gotten my pumpkin vines.
Learning the filter will take me awhile. I am working on it!
Photography is a life time adventure I have found out.

Dear Deb,
It is like my son tells me, "The biggest room is the room for improvement!" LOL
There are certain photos I have been unable to get so hopefully the sun will no longer be a big problem!
Thanks. Your encouragement means lots to me.
