Cicadas

The cicadas are singing in the mornings now. I am working by the rock pile today hoping the lizard will show itself.
The planting of marigolds in so many different locations has given color to the gardens and food for a variety of butterflies.
The swallowtail has lost more of his wings.

Dear Q~

I just love the sound of the locusts at this time of year. It reminds me of my childhood and playing outside of an evening. Such fond memories of squeezing the last drop of sunlight out of a day.

Nighttime and stars were pretty delightful too, especially out of the city on the farm, we could see more stars.

Life seemed so safe and easy back then.
