Grooming The Gardens

This morning I began grooming the different garden spots. I wanted to get the peppers cleaned up so they would bloom again and set peppers for September. The Gold Finches were nearby and not as shy as usual. I stopped deadheading marigolds and began watching the Finches.
The Sunflowers are still blooming. The spent heads are fresh seed for the finches. I love the way they turn upside down to get the seed.

I will go back to grooming as soon it cools down a wee bit. I had hoped we would have rain today. I think it went North.
