Downy Woodpecker

She is a sweet little bird.

Patiently she waited for her turn at the peanut feeder.
When she flew to the ball on the deck she began to pose.

She wanted her picture taken!

Hi Sherry,
Your photographs fascinate me. Your blog would make a wonderful coffee table book - have you considered that?

Sherry, I agree with Sue. I drop my jaw when I see your photography and prose. Just lovely. A great coffee table book - words and pictures.

Hi Sue,
Thank you! My daughter and I have discussed the idea of publishing a book of some sorts. I seem to be happy just taking the photos! I am almost at my one year anniversary of buying the camera. I do feel as if I took to took it! I understand my camera and the lens and the filters I have. Each one is different and each lens has a sweet spot.
It could be that I will want to do something more than Corner some day. I do love the idea of Blogging, the free exchange of talents. I also am a sidewalk chalk artist lover. The rains come and wash the drawings away. Something about that appeals to me.
Perhaps it is art for the sake of art.
Your encouragement is appriciated!
My confidence has grown and I just might get an agent and a publisher and put something in the bookstores.
Thank you again,
Sherry

Hi Mary,
Blush-blush!
I have many photos saved on disc.
Almost a year of documenting the gardens and the birds and butterflies. I am so glad you enjoy this endeavor. My daughter talked me into the blog. I am glad she did. I have a relationship with all of the nature about me, here in the city, and I am so pleased that comes through.
Thank you for your kind words.
Sherry
