The morning temperature was 18 degrees Fahrenheit (-8 Celsius).
I bundled up and took seed out for the birds.
How shall I respond to this bitter cold April Morning?

Will I graciously surrender as the tulips have?
Knowing my time is over.
Will I stop in mid bloom like the Blueberries?I bundled up and took seed out for the birds.
How shall I respond to this bitter cold April Morning?

Will I graciously surrender as the tulips have?
Knowing my time is over.
Waiting for the warmer days to continue my journey to fruit?
Perhaps like the White Lilacs I will do both.
Surrendering some of my blooms and scent.
Yet I could simply continue on.
I could be like the Dandelion.
I get to decide.
It is the gift.
