Friday the 13th

It is a blank page.
How shall I know this day tomorrow?
Next year?
Shall I create my own legend?

I cut tulips for the house.
I needed the light from sunnier days.

They are unfolding,
opening as if they are a rose.

Rain changing to snow is in our forecast.
Mocking Bird was busy so the male House Sparrow helped out.

I try to forget the date on these days ;o)

Beautiful prose and pictures, as usual.

I remember thinking years ago when my oldest daughter was born on the 13th of her birth month that she'd have occasional birthdays on Friday the 13ths. Funny how you don't think you're superstitious at all and something like that comes into your mind. :-)

As I write, my heat is on. It's *chilly* out there today. No snow in our forcast, but it's very gray and uninviting out there.

Enjoy those bits of sunshine your brought into the house. They look lovely!

Hi Mary,
I was surprised to find out some people have a foreboding feeling about the number 13. My husband told me he has a "tinge" about Friday the 13th. There are those movies too. I have never seen them yet they seem to be part of the culture.
I think we each can write our own legends. After all, somebody made all of the 13th "oh dears" up to begin with.
Mine would be about the 13 birds that sang for raisins.

Dear Mary,
I have never considered my self superstitious either. Yet sometimes those old "folk" ways come into our minds. There are many different ones too. I find it very interesting. I like knowing why I do the things I do. I like the stories that go with the traditions.
Hope the spring warm days come back to you soon.

Dear Naturegirl,
"I've got sunshine on a cloudy day,
When it is cold outside I'v even got the month of May. I bet you might say what can make feel this way? Naturegirl"
13 is also my lucky number!
We ARE kindred spirits~!
I was saving the last of the tulips in the window boxes for some color and gayity outside. Knowing 2-4 inches of snow was on the way I needed them inside.
H~O~P~E is right.
I will chant......
Hugs, you lucky lady,
Sherry
