Mating Doves

These two doves have been in courtship.
I see them feed together and rest together.

Today they made it official.
They will build a nest now.

Spring!

Dear Sheila,
All sorts of procreation going on!
After reading your comment I decided to be Mother Nature's Daughter. I have lots to learn.

Hi Mary,
I really worked on a few of these photos to get them just right. I had to "be a photgrapher". Normally I point and shoot. This series required me to point and think and wait and watch. I am working on depth of field. Each lens is different.
My husband encouraged me to post the series. He liked it.
Thank you,
Sherry

Hi Mari-Nanci,
The birds are so sweet, most of the time.
I think they hang around me for the seed!

Dear Pat,
Thank you.
Such a strange spring. Glad your weather has improved. I worry about all the plants.

Dear Chris,
My heart will soar and my shutter will click if baby Doves come near!
I will be filling the feeders all summer.
